Motherboards comparison and review advice?

comparing the XFX nForce 750i SLI and ASUS P5N-D which is better greater value future friendly and all round greater gaming motherboard..

Basically i am making a new high performance gaming pc and im stuck between these two motherboards.. both can be bought at around 拢100 both are SLI ready and have the 775 socket for intel core duo quad ect.. cpu's they both have max 8gb ram via DDR2 so as you can see very similar and make it a hard choice.. i just wondering any expert opinions into which is the better motherboard and why and if you know of any other's similar to these i would be interested in seeing them. also why does the nvidia motherboard i mentioned have 8 channels for ram? seems so random to meMotherboards comparison and review advice?
Asus P5Q Deluxe is a better optionMotherboards comparison and review advice?
Put some extra cash and buy the Asus P5Q Deluxe might get it for 拢30 extra. But well worth IT !

But if you have to choose between the above 2 mentioned go for asus I find them much more reliable. But again, insist you on buying Asus p5Q deluxe if you have a budget for just above a 100.

Hope it helps.
I agree, you should invest in a P5Q Deluxe. Without going into a long winded reason why it would be better IMO.
I have to say I have the P5N-D, and I love it.
Asus for the brand power... excellent service, support (bios updates frequently for your upgrade needs), and Asus has always been a strong contender. I've built probably 3 dozen gaming computers for myself and others over the years, and personally I always choose Asus just because of their excellent hardware. You're looking at two boards that are very similar in comparison... I think the Asus will outlast the XFX simply because of the availability of BIOS updates, and with a history of long-lasting boards. I have never had an Asus board die on me yet actually. I have one hanging on my wall that is about 20 years old and was working all the way up to the point where I put it on the wall this year.

so the nvidia board has 8 channel RAM? That's an interesting idea and might give a very slight performance edge if it is what I think it is. However, I have only ever heard of dual and triple channel memory, and a developer that had created quad channel ram in the past.... but even then, they only called it quad channel because there were 4 sticks, so I'm going to assume they only say 8-channel because there are 8 sticks? haha.. who knows.. go with Asus
