I need tips advice and a review of my weight lifting?

am a 14 year old boy I weigh 155 and am 6'2 very lanky have worked out for 3 months maybe a little less. I go to the gym 3 to 2 times a week. I want to know if it is safe lifting at my current weight and if I am doing well for my age but mostly how safe this is. I do 5 reps of 5 at 155. I can lift 225 once. I have heard that lifting your own weight at my age it bad for growing is this true and if not am I doing well. I have asked others about this and they thought I was it was a lie but I am not lieing.

just some back round info my family is genetically very strong for their size, My dad was 180 and lifted 300 pounds. My uncle 220 and lifted 465 pounds. and my grandpa strongest man ( I think pound for pound) ever 180 and lifted 600 pounds. This is all true, why would I lie? can you give me some advice, thank youI need tips advice and a review of my weight lifting?
Its true that lifting too much at too young an age, can strain your bones and muscles and stunt your growth.(Google Little Hercules)

Wait until you are about 16 when you are in between growth spurts and your anabolic levels are at what are probably your peak. That is when you want to start lifting your weight multiple times. For now, focus on 8-12 reps at about 75% of your body weight at most. Make sure you are getting a decent amount of protein and extra healthy calories so you build some muscles on that frame. at 14, don't even think about the word supplement except maybe a multi-vitamin.

At 6'2'; and your family history, you could definitely grow up to support a 210-220 pound stature and look very good at that weight. At 6'2 think wide receiver in football and your coaches there will be able to give you some great advice for how to change your lifting routines when you get there.

You are well on your way.

Best of luck
