NOYB, For car insurance the fastest method to get a cheap quote is do a auto policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same city/state, auto make/model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get mulitple auto quotes, go to http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Auto-I鈥?/a> and you can compare the major auto insurance companies. Can someone review my car insurance plan, rate and review it, and give me advice please?
Looks like you have a good basic plan there, just don't take out multiple vehicles or hit a Viper (you would be a little low on property damage) - oh, and you have to have liability insurance by law so don't go telling people you don't have insurance. That is a quick way to get them to call the police.
I think you posted this question before. I and others gave you some great answers. But I will say this one more time.
This coverage give you no coverage for your car. There is no theft coverage, which is comprehensive and no collision coverage. That is probly fine on an old car. Jut know what your missing. You are missing comprehensive and collision. Last time you posted, you didn't say how old your car was. Now it makes more sense because your car is older so maybe you do not need those coverages.
Maybe you can post what exclusions you are refering to.
Go to gieco and see what there rates are.. mine I use USAA.com and only pay half that for a 2006 scion and get more.
When you said ';and my dad had told me that if you hit someone and they know you have insurance they will go after you but if you dont they might not sue since i dont got a penny';.....
I'm kind of confused by what you are stating. If you have a car or truck and you would like to drive it on roads... it MUST have insurance. If your vehicle is going to be registered, or is registered it MUST have insurance.
An insurance policy has liability coverages. The PURPOSE of liability coverages is: it pays damages due to bodily injury or property damage for you would be legally liable ... also includes the cost of degending you in a lawsuit. (Which are subject to your limits listed above @ bi 50/100 and pd 50). BUT you can ALWAYS get sued for an accident if you are at fault but by insuring the car... you are PROTECTING yourself for your defense in the event of a lawsuit. I'll give worst case senario- you are in an at fault accident and the other person would win a law suite..... then even though you may not own anything, your wages could be garnished.
Your bi/pd coverages are better than the minimum available, but keep in mind the MOST paid out for any property damage to someone else's car or property is $50,000 each accident.
Your policy has NO COVERAGE for your vehicle to be fixed in the event that you would be in an at fault accident (but there is coverage for someone else's car or property in your liability coverages).
Your uninsured and underinsured should match your liability, which they do, and these coverages provide more coverage for you in the event you need more coverage for bodily injury (when you are in a collision with someone who is uninsured or underinsured and THEY are legally liable for causing the accident). These limits seem good to me.
