All the techniques listed by superwoman are useful. I will add that to make this task even easier is to start your revision from the second week of semester and continue until exams. This process makes revision very fast and easy.

If you leave it too late, a few weeks before exams, then you will have a hard time.

Avoid the stress, start early. You can then relax in the weeks approaching exams and even take time out for relaxation, while your fellow students stress out and wonder how you can be so relaxed about it all.

Look over exams from earlier that semester. Re-do the questions you got wrong and then some practice questions to make sure you really understand the concept. Re-do the questions you had trouble with. Review the questions you easily got right.

If you can, get exams from previous years.
