I told him that a review is your evaluation and opinion on something but he begs to differ. I told him that his ';review'; is just an observation. Here it is. ';Lil’ Wayne is by far one of the hottest artists of 2008. His creativity and ability to make mix tape after mix tape and appearances on other artists songs has kept him relevant during the time between Tha Carter II %26amp; III has made him one of the greatest hip hop artist ever heard on the mic. With songs like “Got Money” feat T-Pain, “A Mili” and “Mr. Carter” feat Jay-Z, it’s no wonder his album 'Tha Carter III' took platinum in the first week!
Dwayne Michael Carter, also known as Lil’ Wayne, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and signed onto the Cash Money Records label at the age of 12. He emerged from being the youngest in the “Hot Boyz” group to part owner of Cash Money Records and founder of Young Money Entertainment which has signed their newest artist Tyga, the first Young Money artist from California. He has productively become a well known name all over the music industry including Pop, Rock, and R%26amp;B.
Lil’ Wayne has repeatedly been considered as “The best rapper alive” from fans and critics everywhere. His latest singles (“Lollipop”, “Got Money”, and “A Millie”) has shot his ratings through the roof! We can expect more from this aspiring actor for years to come.
“Tha Carter III is useful as an exclamation point. It establishes beyond a doubt that the zeitgeist in 2008 belongs to one artist,”-Rolling Stones
“More than most rappers, Lil Wayne is a master at self-mythologizing,”-Chicago Tribune
“Take away the football team, the basketball team… and all you’ve got is me to represent New Orleans”-Lil’ Wayne “Tie My Hands”
Album rating: 8.0';
What do you guys suggest on how to fix it? Is it even a REVIEW? Help him out please. Is my friend's review of the carter III, a review at all? Can someone give him some advice?
It sucked the production on the album was ok but the lyrics were well pure crap. Lil' Wayne fell off hard with the Carter III.Is my friend's review of the carter III, a review at all? Can someone give him some advice?
';Album rating: 8.0'; - Fail.
Lil Wayne really isn't the one making all those mixtapes. It's the mixtape DJs that are putting them out, which if you recall, Lil Wayne was completely against.
It was Lil Wayne, himself, that proclaimed himself ';the best rapper alive';. That led to everyone else saying it.
It's not good to say that the best songs were only the singles. The idea is to make people wanna get the entire album. If you say only the singles are good, people are only gonna buy those three or four songs on iTunes instead of the whole thing or if they buy a hard copy of the album, they're not gonna want to explore it for what it really is.
The little biography is unneeded.
He's not an ';actor';. He's an ';artist';.
The quotes from other sources are unneeded.
But I do agree with the 8.0 rating. It was a pretty good album.
I think a review is an observational opinion. No matter how bad an album is, weather or not the listener liked it is the listener's opinion on weather the album is in fact as good or as bad as the reviewer proclaims it is.
