I'm thinking of getting a netbook. Can anyone give me some advice or reviews on them. What are they limited to?

They're basically machines designed with portability in mind and are cost-effective (meaning the specs aren't good). If you plan to travel a lot and/or you only use the computer for things like word processing, email and web surfing, then it's probably the way to go. If you are a PC gamer, for example, netbooks are exactly what you don't want (though I'd imagine a PC gamer would know that). Hope this helps. :)I'm thinking of getting a netbook. We have an EEE PC Netbook [Asus? I think] that is simply amazing out on the road with an aircard. Now anytime we're out running around, we can keep up with the headlines, look up local restaurants....the possibilities for using the internet out on the road are ENDLESS.

It's not really meant to be a home computer, however, you CAN use it in that manner as long as you have an external dvd drive to load software on your hard drive.

My biggest complaint is that the little touch sensitive pad is kind of TOO sensitive; additionally, I'm not used to the little keyboard [this is my first experience with a portable computer] and I keep hitting keys I don't mean to hit, and finding my curser somewhere in the middle of a paragraph unintentionally.I'm thinking of getting a netbook.
